Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Because active shooting situations are often over within 10 to 15 minutes, before law enforcement arrives on the scene, individuals must be prepared both  mentally and physically to deal with an active shooters.

As HR professionals or business owners, we need to be able to inform our employees on how they can help prevent and prepare for potential active shooter situations.

Join us as Marcia Kozera, an HR professional with over 25 years of experience and owner of Lighthouse HR, and Deputy Brian Kozera, certified law enforcement trainer, discuss how you can best prepare for an active shooter situation.

What you will learn by attending this session:

  • What is considered violence in the workplace?
  • Early intervention/de-escalation in a potential violent situation.
  • How to develop an Active Shooter Response Plan for your organization.
  • Recognize the warning signs and behaviors of a potential shooter.
  • Exact steps to take in an active shooting situation.
  • Law Enforcement response team objectives, perspective and guidelines.
  • Follow up and monitoring of employees after the shooting incident.
