Curbing FMLA Abuse: How to Manage Manipulative Employees


The presentation will focus on how to spot when employees are attempting to manipulate FMLA policies and tools to use in combating such abuse. The tools range from updating company policies to ensuring documentation is properly prepared and submitted. It also includes some scenarios to help highlight common abuses.

Stephanie is a labor and employment attorney working out of the Tampa Ogletree office. Her practice focuses on providing general labor and employment advice as well as litigating FMLA interference and retaliation claims, ADA Title III claims, breach of non-compete agreements, and general Title VII discrimination allegations. She is originally from Plantation, Florida and is proudly an obnoxious double Gator.
