Is Comp Time Legal?

Do I Have To Provide Employees Breaks?

What is an Exempt Employee?

If you have a single employee then you need to join us for this special event as we learn from the Department of Labor some of the Do's and Don'ts when it comes to wage and hour regulations.

It seems like there are Wage and Hour commercials on every break during daytime TV.  Your disgruntled employee is watching the ads and screaming at the TV that is what happened to me as they make the 1-800 call.  That is the start of a very bad time for your company or origination.  This is your chance to learn the Wage and Hour laws directly from the US Department of Labor.

Register early for this event as it is sure to be a sell out!

You are allowed to "Ask Questions For A Friend".

Lourdes Bahr, Community Outreach and Planning Specialist for Wage and Hour Division of the US Department of Labor will be our speaker.

Lourdes Bahr

Lourdes Bahr is Emory University graduate and a former federal investigator for the Wage and Hour Division of the US Department of Labor. She began her career with the Department of Labor as a Wage Hour Investigator Tampa DO in 1997. As an investigator, she enforced a variety of Acts that included MSPA (Agriculture), Child Labor, Government Contracts, Fair Labor Standards, Family Medical Leave and the H program wage requirements for guest worker visas.

She has been involved in several successful litigation cases playing key role in its favorable outcome for the US Department of Labor. She has also been awarded numerous Secretary Exceptional Achievement Awards for her work with agricultural workers and low wage earners. In additional, she serves as a trainer for the new investigator hires.

Currently, she is the Community Outreach and Planning Specialist for the Wage and Hour Division of the US Department of Labor and travels throughout Central Florida providing federal labor law training.
